CCS has had an independent legal existence recognized by the Ministry of Justice since 1955. In March 1984 the government issdued a decree to recognize the association as a source of support in training, dissemination and occupational health advisory services.

It has the National Licence that allows to provide services in Ocupational Health, given through the Resolution No. 1253 of abril 17th of 1996 by the Health Distrital Secretary (Bogotá City).
